La Cuerda
Caer a través de toda la tierra è una videoinstallazione che sperimenta la possibilità di abitare la lentezza, un altro corpo da percepire e un altro modo di ascoltare l’ambiente. L’opera immagina un mondo in cui materia e sensibilità si fondono per dispiegare poteri che ci fanno disidentificare. È una sorta di prova di vita comunitaria in un mondo di sogno, un esercizio di immaginazione fantastica in cui le relazioni e differenze tra umani e non umani non sono fintamente evidenti. L’erba, la plastica, la pelliccia, la stoffa, l’acqua, il fango, il muschio, la corteccia, sono texture per un tatto che vede le cose da vicino, da dentro, da sotto.
Caer a través de toda la tierra si domanda come annullare certe logiche binarie e dominanti delle forme di percezione, come generare un altro repertorio di immagini sconosciute, come stravolgere lo sguardo e ciò che si guarda, come evocare un immaginario collettivo più speranzoso, come generare altre immagini dei corpi staccati dall’erotismo patriarcale e come trasformare qualcosa dell’invisibile in presenze.

Falling Through All the Earth is a video installation that experiments with the possibility of inhabiting slowness, perceiving another body, and listening to the environment in a different way. The work imagines a world where matter and sensitivity merge to unfold powers that make us disidentify. It serves as a kind of trial of communal life in a dream world, a fantastical exercise of imagination where the relationships and differences between humans and non-humans are not superficially apparent. Grass, plastic, fur, fabric, water, mud, moss, and bark are textures for a touch that sees things up close, from within, from underneath.
Falling Through All the Earth questions how to negate certain binary and dominant logics of perception, how to generate a new repertoire of unknown images, how to overturn the gaze and what is being gazed upon, how to evoke a more hopeful collective imagination, how to create other images of bodies detached from patriarchal eroticism, and how to transform something invisible into presences.

Florencia Bergallo, Cecilia Blanco, Belén Parra e Mariana Roveda lavorano nel campo delle arti performative nella città di Buenos Aires, Argentina. Hanno formato il collettivo La Cuerda nel 2019. Creano progetti che combinano video, performance, installazione e fotografia. Con le loro pratiche insistono su domande sulla permeabilità dei corpi, sulle forme di rappresentazione ereditate e su ciò che ci è dato di percepire.
Nei loro modi di generare esperienze e immagini cercano di disorganizzare il corpo e i riferimenti che i materiali portano con sé, ponendoli in una relazione ludica e sensuale che permette loro di agitare sensazioni e muovere uno sguardo tattile che può toccare ed essere toccato.
Caer a través de toda la tierra, Fosforece e Sapo de otro pozo sono gli ultimi lavori.
Florencia Bergallo, Cecilia Blanco, Belén Parra, and Mariana Roveda work in the field of performing arts in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They formed the collective La Cuerda in 2019. They create projects that combine video, performance, installation, and photography. Through their practices, they delve into questions of body permeability, inherited forms of representation, and what we are given to perceive.
In their ways of generating experiences and images, they seek to disorganize the body and the references that materials carry with them, placing them in a playful and sensual relationship that allows them to stir sensations and move a tactile gaze that can touch and be touched.
